Michele Valvano of Mt. Vernon passed away on June 5, 2016. Michele was born on August 29 1924 in Guardia Lombardi, Italy to Nicola and Angiolina Valvano. Michele married Arcangela on December 19, 1947. Michele is predeceased by his beloved wife Arcangela in 2012 and his loving daughter Nicolina in 1957. He is survived by his brother Costantino Valvano, sister in law Antoinetta. Michele was like a father figure to all his nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Monday (today) from 5 to 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at Sts. Peter and Paul Church at 10am. Entombment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
