Joyce T.  Eversley
Joyce Theresa Ludvick Eversley, of Bronx , New York transitioned to eternal rest on Thursday, December 15, 2016. Joyce was the second child born to the late James Milton Ludvick, Sr. of St .Croix ,United States Virgin Islands and Thelma Washington Ludvick of New York City. She was raised in New York City where she attended elementary school and graduated from Commerce High School.
In 1956 she married the late Cedric Eustace Eversley of Christ Church, Barbados. In 1961 they had their daughter Charisse Angela Eversley.
Joyce was employed by the City of New York for 30 plus years and retired as the Borough Manager for the New York City Department of Buildings in the Bronx.
A devout Catholic all of her life Joyce was an active member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church and Immaculate Conception Church.
While retired she enjoyed traveling all over the world with her daughter Charisse. Some highlights include: Israel (Holy Land), South Africa, China, Australia, Italy, Greece, Hawaii and many Caribbean islands.
Joyce often attended the Rain East Chester Senior Center and Rain Boston Road Senior Center. She enjoyed line dancing with the Silver Swingers and playing Bridge with Basement Bunch Bridge Club and the Duplicate Bridge Club in Coop City.
She is preceded in death by her beloved brother Philip Ludvick, sisters Audrey Ludvick Brannon and Doris Ludvick Glass.
To cherish her memory she leaves her devoted daughter Charisse Angela Nembhard, her son in law Harold Nembhard, dear son Dorian Ludvick brother James Milton Ludvick, Jr., and loving cousin Ralph Washington.
Her extended family includes cousins, nieces, nephews goddaughter , in laws, long time dear friends and loved ones who join in celebrating her life and mourning her passing.
