Antonio "Anthony" Prisco
Antonio Prisco 79 years of age passed away suddenly on Saturday March 17, 2018. Antonio was born on July 1, 1938 in Abbruzzo, Italy to the late Nicandro and Quartina Prisco. His mother passed when he was 2 years old and his step mother Maria Cincis raised him and his siblings. She passed in 1999 and his father passed in 2005. Antonio had 3 brothers Dino, Columbo and Mario who predeceased him. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 55 years Theresa Prisco and his siblings Giovanni, Domenica and Catarina. His beautiful and inspiring life will forever be cherished by his 5 children, Anthony Jr., Stephen, Christopher, Angela, Robert, their spouses and his 6 grandchildren; Mathew, Cailla,Lauren, Ali, Alexander and Alexa.
He immigrated to the United States with his family in 1957 and went on to become the epitome of the American dream. In 1968, He opened his first business Prisco Television in Mount Vernon, New York and this year he would have celebrated it’s 50th year anniversary. In the years that followed, he opened two other stores- Planet TV and Appliances located in White Plains, New York and Stamford, Connecticut. Antonio’s entrepreneurial accomplishments lead to further achievement in numerous real estate endeavors. Though he had a life long string of career successes, what he regarded as his greatest triumph was his large and loving family. He was a shining example of what is best in the Italian and American character: family , first and foremost, hard work, and dedicated service to his loved ones and community.
Antonio had many interests, especially World Cup soccer and the national Italian “futbol” team. He had a great thirst for learning and knowledge, enjoyed traveling, nature, and of course, fine food. He did his own landscaping for many years and maintained an extensive garden at his home featuring the largest tomatoes that anyone has ever seen. Ultimately, he was a man of great integrity and lived his life to the fullest with joy and honor.
Ultimately, Antonio will be sorely missed by his wife, his family and friends who love and adore him beyond what words can convey.
